Northeast High School

Outboard Marine Service Technology

Northeast High School’s Outboard Marine Service Technology program provides students with hands-on career and technical education connected to the marine service industry.

Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, students will train in a new Yamaha Marine Mechanics Laboratory created through the school’s partnership with Broward County Public Schools’ Career, Technical, Adult and Community Education department. The program is designed to help students develop practical skills while exploring careers in marine maintenance, repair, and technical service.

Students can learn about the inspection, maintenance, service, and repair of outboard engines and related boating systems. The state-approved pathway covers areas including electrical systems, fuel systems, ignition, cooling, lubrication, drive systems, boating accessories, and boat and trailer rigging.
