Program Overview
Resolve Maritime Academy is a professional maritime training center in Fort Lauderdale that provides safety, emergency-response, and regulatory training for the cruise, commercial shipping, offshore, oil and gas, yacht, and emergency-response industries. As a local MIASF member, the Academy offers South Florida mariners access to specialized training close to the region’s major ports and marine businesses.
Training combines classroom instruction with realistic simulations and hands-on exercises. Facilities include the T/V Resolve Vision shipboard trainer, an indoor survival pool, and a two-story damage-control wet trainer where participants can practice responding to flooding, equipment failures, fires, and other shipboard emergencies.
Education and Career Pathways
Resolve offers courses in STCW Basic Safety Training, basic and advanced firefighting, personal survival, first aid and CPR, fast rescue boats, damage control, vessel security, crowd management, crisis response, and other maritime-safety subjects. Course approvals, prerequisites, length, and eligibility vary depending on the training selected.
Programs are designed for new and experienced merchant mariners, yacht and cruise-ship crew members, licensed officers, emergency responders, and maritime companies seeking individual or customized team training.
