Broward County Waterway Cleanup
The Broward County Waterway Cleanup, organized by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, is the county’s largest and longest-running environmental event. The first Waterway Cleanup was held in the late 1970s to help ensure that both the community and the marine industry could enjoy our local waterways. The 2024 cleanup was held on Saturday, March 2nd! In total, more than 1,100 volunteers of all ages by land and 300 boats/personal watercraft volunteered throughout 35 sites across Broward County to remove 25 tons of trash and debris from our inland waterways. This year’s Cleanup will be on Saturday, March 1st, 2025. You do not need a boat to participate!
