Joel Shine is Chief Commercial Officer for Derecktor Shipyards. As CCO at Derecktor, Joel oversees all customer-facing operations across refit/service and new construction. While formally educated in business, his 20-year career has been rooted in composites and boatbuilding, with experience spanning design, CNC programming, fairing, finishing, and rigging. He has also owned and operated multiple businesses within and outside the marine industry. A seventh-generation Floridian, Joel holds an MBA/BBA from the University of Georgia and a Yacht Design certificate from Westlawn.
